A blend between our Redford Genetics and Santa Gertrudis females. Designed to be a type of animal that fits the build of a ‘clean-coated flatback’ that is soft enough to supply premium local feedlot markets, whilst being hardy enough to meet live export specifications.

The genetic make up of the Jarrah Reds are 44% - 47% british content with the remainder percentage Red Brahman.

The Jarrah Reds evolved by using our Redford sires over Santa Gertrudis females. To expand our gene pool we are now using Santa bulls over our Redford breeders. The majority of our Jarrah Reds are now stabilised (Jarrah Red bull over Jarrah Red female).

Our cows are predominately polled and have proved to be extremely fertile with perfect udders, are hardy and sleek coated.

Goodwood Pastoral Company first purchased Jarrah Red bulls in 2015, these bulls have exceeded our expectations and adapted to our climate and landscape very well, producing lovely calves and holding their paddock condition while working.
